Preschool (3 & 4 years old)
St. Gerald Preschool provides a safe, loving, "first school" experience for all of our students, where the growth and development of the whole child is nurtured and supported; where each child is seen as unique and loved by God. Flexible schedules and extended care options make this an easy choice for working parents.
Kindergarten—5th Grade
Critical to your child’s growth and development, our teachers challenge students to develop a lifelong love of learning. From accelerated reading programs to research projects, your child’s continued academic, emotional, and spiritual development is at the forefront of our program.
Middle School—6th-8th Grade
Our “junior high” program prepares students for a successful high school career. St. Gerald students enter Catholic high schools such as Marist, Brother Rice, St. Laurence & Mother McAuley as well as area public schools with confidence and a solid foundation built on academic excellence, compassion and community.
St. Gerald school applies the curriculum prescribed by the Archdiocese of Chicago Catholic Schools. Information about our curriculum can be found here.
We encourage accountability and transparency in curriculum. Parents are encouraged to take an active role in the child's academic development and may set up classroom visits, request synopses of lesson plans and copies of curriculum reports from the principal to gain a better understanding of the learning environment.
Progress of each student is tracked and reported securely and confidentially in PowerSchool enabling parents to monitor their child's ongoing development.
