The Father Malcolm Memory Walk

Dear Giants,

It's that time of year again!  We are winding down the year but taking a day to remember beloved Fr. Malcolm and have some fun too!  The Father Malcolm Memory Walk will be on Thursday, May 19 (weather permitting). ( If it rains, we will host the day on the following Thursday, May 26.)

We are asking for your support, not only in running games for the kids, but in raising funds to help our school improvement campaign.  We have several projects that we would like to attend to over the summer, but we need funds in order to make these happen.  We'd like to put new curtains in each classroom, add air conditioners, purchase new books, paint some areas, and many other things.  We can only do this if we have the resources.

I am asking for volunteers to help us run games on May 19, but I am also asking that each family donate or get pledges of $100 for the Father Malcolm Memory Walk.  We are aware of the needs of the campus, and we would like to get a big start on upgrading the facilities this summer.  Please consider helping both in person and financially.  There will be prizes for the top 3 homerooms that bring in the most donations.

You can volunteer for the whole day or just part of the day. Please just leave a comment if you can only volunteer for part of the day, and indicate the time you can start and end.

T-shirt order forms are being sent home with students and are due Friday.

2022 Father Malcolm Memory Walk

When: Thursday, May 19 (Rain Date Thursday, May 26)

Where: The St. Gerald Campus

What: Students will participate in games around the campus to help preserve the memories of fun downtown trips and local walks with Father Malcolm

How you can help:

• Purchase an official walk T-Shirt to show school pride

• Share the online donation link to family members, neighbors, & friends asking to sponsor the school for this event https://www.givecentral.org/location/499/event/30216

• AND/OR Complete the sponsor form and return with donations by Wednesday, 5/18

• Each family is being asked to raise $100 in donations

• Classes will compete to raise the most to win prizes

• Volunteer to help chaperone the day of the event (must be Virtus trained)

Families who meet their goals will be put into a raffle for a $100 Amazon Gift Card!

Cohorts will be competing against each other to see who can raise the most funds and the winners will receive prizes!
