Computer Classes
St. Gerald School provides computer education classes to grades Pre4-8 in the school's computer lab.  The lab currently has 29 student computers with Windows operating systems, the full Microsoft Office suite of products, a host of software learning programs, and broadband internet access.  The lab is also equipped with a multimedia presentation system.  Depending on grade level, classes meet 30 - 50 minutes each week.

Students in 3rd grade receive an extra 1/2 hour of keyboarding (typing) lessons each week. 
St. Gerald School is fully networked in the computer lab and throughout the school, with a minimum of two computers in each classroom.  All computers have broadband internet access.
Multimedia Presentation Carts
Each floor of the school has a multimedia cart complete with laptop, projector, and speakers.  Teachers can use the carts to project presentations and internet websites on their classroom screens.

Khan Academy - Khan Academy offers practice exercises, instructional videos, and a personalized learning dashboard that empower learners to study at their own pace in and outside of the classroom.

ABCYA  - loads of learning games, puzzles, coloring and activities for Kindergarten - 5th grade.

Starfall - filled with learning activities for students in Preschool through 2nd grade.

PictureMatch - helps young learners work on letter and vowel sounds by matching sounds and pictures.

MakeYourOwnSnowflake - use your mouse skills and your creativity to make your own snowflakes.

FreeRice - test your knowledge in geography, vocabulary, grammar, math, and foreign languages while helping to erase hunger.

Sporcle - know your capitals, your presidents, your countries, etc.  Fun games that have you racing against the clock while helping you learn as well.

SpellingCity - input your spelling words and the site will quiz you or create a game to help you learn.

Cramberry - create your own flashcards for studying, or use any of the already-created flashcards on the site.

Animoto - create your own short, very professional video using your pictures.

FunBrain - loads of math, spelling and reading games; fun while learning.
