ST GERALD PARISH RE-OPENING UPDATE

We are joyful to announce the following services as part of the
St. Gerald Church Re-Opening Plan:

At this time we are only allowed to have 10 people at a time in church for Reconciliation and Private Prayer. If there is high attendance you may be asked to wait outside while practicing social distancing guidelines. Thank you for your patience and support.

RECONCILIATION STARTS JUNE 6
Reconciliation (confession) will be available starting Saturday, June 6th from 3:30 pm- 4:30 pm And each Saturday thereafter.
Please enter through the main doors of the church off the new church entrance.
Please wear a mask
Please do not come if you are ill or have a fever
Please follow the seating and waiting directions of the usher in church
Please plan to exit after confession and pray your penance in your vehicle.

PRIVATE PRAYER IN CHURCH STARTS JUNE 9 &11
Private Prayer will be available in church beginning Tuesday and Thursday -June 9 & 11 from 8am -10 am and each Tuesday and Thursday thereafter. Additional days and times may be added in the near future.
Please enter through the main doors of the church off the new church entrance.
Please wear a mask
Please do not come if you are ill or have a fever
Please follow the seating directions of the usher in church
Please plan to exit after 20 minutes of prayer to allow time for others

UPCOMING EVENTS

St. Gerald Catholic School is excited to announce Mrs. Kemberly Markham as our new Principal for the 2020-2021 school year. Mrs. Markham brings her dynamic Catholic School leadership experience most recently serving as Principal of St. Paul Catholic Church in Florence, Kentucky. She also served as Assistant Superintendent for the Diocese of Gary, Indiana. Mrs. Markham looks forward to meeting the faculty, staff, students, parents and parishioners of the St. Gerald Community. We are thrilled to welcome Mrs. Markham to our St. Gerald family!

As we enter the month of May, we wanted to take a moment and recognize our amazing 8th graders who are graduating this month. We are extremely proud of these young adults and know they all will go on to achieve great things. Congratulations Class of 2020! Go Giants!

Saint Gerald School is the oldest Catholic school in Oak Lawn and proudly provides an excellent Catholic education to PreK-3 through 8th grade students.

For our working parents, we provide an Extended Day program, offering before and after school care for our students. Our new gym/multi-purpose facility is open, enabling our school to further answer the needs of our children and community.
